Introduction Blog
Hello Everyone! My name is Myra, and I'm nineteen years old. I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I moved to Louisiana in 2014. Some of my hobbies are writing short stories, playing video games, tennis, and reading. A fun fact about me is that I have a podcast I started two years ago with my best friend. We talk about our life, interview people, and play silly games on our podcast.
I decided to attend bossier parish community college because I was interested in pursuing a career in journalism. My major is communications, and I hope to transfer all of my credits to a four year after completing my education here. I wanted to join this course because it would help me gain some knowledge about news writing and learn the type of writing skills in this field. I hope to gain an understanding that I can use in my future career from this course.
The field of journalism is so important to our society today because it's how the entire world keeps up to date with the latest events. It's essential to have accurate facts on stories so our community can feel secure. If we did not have social media, television, or the internet in general, there would be no way for the world to know any vital information. We must always keep the facts accurate and not spread lies so the world can trust journalism. Journalism will continue evolving as the years go by, and it must maintain precise information.
