             Can you guess the celebrity? They are from new jersey and began writing music at 17. She started her music career on youtube and Tumblr, where she would post videos of her performing different songs. One of her original songs blew up on Soundcloud and led to her being contacted by various recording labels. Before she got the stage name, we knew her as she would perform under different stage names. Her stage name refers to a station on the new york city subway in Brooklyn. She spent a lot of time there as a teen. In 2014, she released her debut EP which charted on the billboard 200. She opened for Imagine Dragons in 2015 for their North American tour. One of her musical influences is Justin Bieber, and she even got to collaborate with him on one of his songs from his album Purpose. Her collaboration with The Chainsmokers gave her a boost of fame and success in 2016. She continues to influence music in the pop genre and creates different trends. Her writing improves every time a new song comes out, and she even cowrites for other huge artists.
